Associate Business Operations Analyst

Under direct supervision, the Associate Business Operations Analyst will analyze data to identify opportunities for improving efficiencies and divisional cost savings. Review sales and transportation data and assist with adjusting outbound freight. Determine market shift to/from affected branch(es) and be able to adjust inbound inventory accordingly. Develop recommendations to solve problems and issues related to business operations.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze data to identify opportunities for improving efficiencies and divisional cost savings. Analyze and distribute reports daily, weekly, monthly - highlighting areas of opportunity or focus. Provide basic analysis and reporting by working with Inventory Management, Information Systems, Financial Audit and other such groups in the organization.
     
  • Identify future and/or past trends to enable better planning for growth, etc. in our supply chain network.
     
  • Organize plans and recommend basic analysis and reports consistent with continuous oft processes and procedures.  Recommend, develop, create and implement standard reporting for routine business reports.
     
  • Forecast branch or product performance to enable better costing or stocking capabilities for future business or change in existing business or business requirements.
     
  • Pull data from several different systems (SAP, Catalyst, NQUIRE, Insight, Webfocus) into one reporting mechanism and display in a final report format.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience
  • Advance analytical skill level
  • Experience applying standard financial, accounting and business problem-solving skills to business problems with multiple variables
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling)
  • Unrestricted, permanent U.S. work authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or Applied Statistics
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience in an analytical role in a sales environment
