How will you make an impact?

As a Human Resources intern you will have the opportunity to dive into real-life HR initiatives that support MGIC’s overall HR Strategy. Whether it is leveraging data to provide business insights, building relationships across the business, or proposing process changes, you will be supporting the HR Team and implementing change.

  • Collaborate across HR teams to ensure processes are documented and optimized
  • Under the direction of other members of the Share Service team maintain HR Shared Services documentation and support FAQ creation
  • Provides support for the HR Shared Services team for transactional recruiting, talent management and acquisition and learning subprocess
  • Partners with HR Shared Services team for all co-worker transactions and related details
  • Project work relating to HR Operations/Shared Services
  • Stays knowledgeable and current on HR practices
  • Other duties as assigned, per the needs of the business


Do you have what it takes?

  • Pursuing knowledge or a career in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with employees and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent customer service, attention to detail, organizational, analytical, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills
  • High degree of self-motivation, passion, and drive to learn
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Onsite / Hybrid work environment based in our Headquarters in Downtown Milwaukee, WI
