OPPORTUNITY:

As an Elkay Interior Systems (EIS) Graphic Design Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a variety of creative projects. From designing and developing internal communications to social media graphics to sales collateral and materials, you will be part of a global team working to advance your design skills, demonstrate creativity, and contribute positively to our culture.

 

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and design print and digital materials.
  • Assist with website and blog visuals.
  • Adhere to brand guidelines and complete projects according to deadlines.
  • Retouch and manipulate images or graphics as directed.
  • Use graphic design software and work with a wide variety of media.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop design concepts.
  • Receive feedback and make necessary changes.
  • Assemble final files for printing as needed.
  • Complete other creative projects assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graphic Design major or degree preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, line composition, color, and graphic design fundamentals
  • Strong creative and analytical skills.
  • Highly proactive and possess attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint.

COMMITMENT:

  • Hybrid Flexible work model.
  • Must be available to work 5-10 hours per week between the hours of 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. CST (flexible)
  • Should be available to start in October and be able to work through the end of December.
