2024 Summer Business Insurance Internship

Summary:

Our Business Insurance Internship Program has the capacity to launch your long-term career in insurance. With an emphasis on career exploration, our program offers flexibility to align educational opportunities and projects with your interests and skills. In addition, the program provides insight into a stable and thriving industry while you build relationships with other interns, professionals, and leaders.

Program Highlights:

  • Receive training to expand your insurance knowledge and learn the M3 way.
  • Spend time in the field with sales professionals at client meetings, networking events, and more.
  • Lead on projects that align with your interests and directly impact the organization.
  • Receive coaching from a leader on personal and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other interns and professionals to achieve the best outcome.

Activities and Responsibilities:

Education

  • Participate in educational opportunities to increase overall insurance knowledge.
  • Receive training on the M3 Sales and Service Process.
  • Spend time with executives and management to learn about our business strategy and operations.

Sales Activities

  • Observe sales professionals in carrier and client engagements, meetings, and networking events.
  • Lead on projects related to cross-selling, prospecting, and client retention.
  • Partner with Account Executives on meeting preparation and sales collateral for client meetings.

Service Support

  • Job shadow various individuals to gain exposure to different roles within our agency.
  • Assist with Epic processing and preparation of client deliverables.
  • Provide support to Account Managers and Support Specialists as requested.

Risk Management Support

  • Join our risk management professionals in claim review meetings and worksite visits.
  • Partner on projects that are analytical and strategic in nature.
  • Provide support to Risk Managers, Claims Facilitators, and Data Analysts as requested.

Qualifications:

  • Ideal candidates will be entering their junior or senior year at a 4-year college or university and pursuing a business or insurance degree. Looking for graduating seniors or students with a May 2025 graduation date.
  • Proven success in college efforts through academics and/or involvement in activities.

Education:

  • High school degree required.
