Staff Accountant
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join us in our Corporate Headquarters in Kenosha County, WI!
The Staff Accountant will report directly to our Controller. This position is a member of our dedicated accounting team that includes four other accountants who are primarily responsible for financial reporting relating to our other facilities. In addition to our Kenosha, WI location, we have facilities in Columbus, OH, and Norcross, GA.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Weekly and monthly financial reporting for Kenosha plant
- Weekly and monthly reporting of results to major customer for the four production areas in Kenosha
- Participate in the annual budget development process and the financial reporting of results vs. budget : Analyze variances
- Maintain cost accounting system : Develop product costs for each item produced
- Analyze financial results in order to provide information for production management and sales to facilitate decision making
- Work with Plant management on ad hoc projects to analyze/improve plant profitability
- Reconcile perpetual inventory records for raw materials; finished goods; and packaging supplies on a weekly basis
- Assign raw material costs to production on a daily basis
- General ledger account analysis and reconciliation for Kenosha operation
- Analyze Capital Expenditure Projects and maintain fixed asset records
- Sales & use reporting
- Maintain customer rebate/accrual balances
- Other Accounting duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field
- Excellent communication skills including the ability to interact at the highest levels of business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to learn our financial reporting, production, sales, and inventory management data system known as Canopy
