Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability Internship

This internship is with the Corporate Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability team at our new headquarters in downtown Milwaukee, WI. This EHS internship will give you an opportunity to support safety and environmental initiatives at a corporate level and while gaining hands-on experience in our test labs, manufacturing, and distribution centers.

The TOOLS you’ll need to have: 
  • Build the structure to maintain our safety data sheet (SDS) inventory and online system 
  • Develop checklists and tools to support behavior-based safety programs 
  • Develop and deliver OSHA and other safety training 
  • Conduct ergonomic assessments  
  • Participate in site EHS audits 
  • Assist in developing safety and environmental policies and procedures 
  • Assist with corporate safety initiatives related to lockout/tagout, fall protection, machine guarding, regulated waste, new hire orientation and injury prevention 
  • Create or update emergency response procedures in our labs and office locations 
  • Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) procedures for equipment and processes 
 
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you: 
  • Pursuing a bachelor’s/master’s degree in Occupational Safety, Fire Protection, or Safety/Environmental Management.  
  • Strong excellent verbal and written communication 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills 
  • Computer knowledge and skills
