Social Media and Digital Communication Intern or student worker

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Collaborate with team members to develop copy for Professional & Continuing Education trainings and events, including but not limited to traditional media (print) and interactive digital media (email, social media).
  2. Research and understand target audiences, including motivators, to create the appropriate style, tone, and voice.
  3. Maintain social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn through assisting in responding to individual interactions.
  4. Generate ideas to promote Professional & Continuing Education on social media platforms.
  5. Analyze data to measure visits, conversion rate, and behavior, and to help inform new digital marketing strategies.
  6. Participate in the development of a social media marketing plan.
  7. May assist with returning phone calls and assisting with enrollments

COMMUNICATION LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  1. Create promotional messages to share with various audiences using diverse social media platforms.
  2. Research different strategies for digital content in order to maintain fresh and interesting social media pages.
  3. Develop critical thinking skills through the analyzing data and experimentation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Strong writing skills; Strong organizational skills; Familiarity with social media & email platforms; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Basic problem-solving skills; Willingness to learn new skills
