Social Media and Digital Communication Intern or student worker
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with team members to develop copy for Professional & Continuing Education trainings and events, including but not limited to traditional media (print) and interactive digital media (email, social media).
- Research and understand target audiences, including motivators, to create the appropriate style, tone, and voice.
- Maintain social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn through assisting in responding to individual interactions.
- Generate ideas to promote Professional & Continuing Education on social media platforms.
- Analyze data to measure visits, conversion rate, and behavior, and to help inform new digital marketing strategies.
- Participate in the development of a social media marketing plan.
- May assist with returning phone calls and assisting with enrollments
COMMUNICATION LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Create promotional messages to share with various audiences using diverse social media platforms.
- Research different strategies for digital content in order to maintain fresh and interesting social media pages.
- Develop critical thinking skills through the analyzing data and experimentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong writing skills; Strong organizational skills; Familiarity with social media & email platforms; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook; Basic problem-solving skills; Willingness to learn new skills
