Wisconsin Dept. of Natural Resources - Bureau of Natural Heritage Conservation - summer 2020 Internships

Assist Bureau of Natural Heritage Conservation field staff on all aspects of on-going field projects related to habitat and property management on State Natural Areas throughout Wisconsin
http://dnr.wi.gov/topic/Lands/naturalareas/. This work includes but is not limited to invasive species control, habitat restoration and management, plant and animal inventories and monitoring, fencing and boundary marking, and trails and infrastructure maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity to get to know several State Natural Areas, as well as to learn, identify, and manage some of the rarest habitats and associated species remaining in Wisconsin!
Please Note: The Wisconsin DNR currently has formal agreements in place to sponsor summer internships from the following universities: University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and University of Wisconsin-Parkside. To be eligible for any of these summer internships at DNR, the applicant needs to be enrolled as a student for the summer of 2020 at one of these six universities.
